Dr. Adetokunbo Oluwole Ilesanmi is a Chartered Architect and Senior Lecturer. He holds Ph.D, M.Sc., B.Sc. (1st Class Honours) in Architecture. He obtained the B.Sc. degree in 1983 and was awarded the Faculty Prize for the Best Overall Student in the Faculty of Environmental Design and Management; and M.Sc, degree in 1985. He engaged in private architectural practice until 1999 when he resumed academic career, and obtained the Ph.D. degree in 2006 from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. His post-doctoral research interests include: sustainable housing, housing satisfaction and quality; housing and health; urban design and disasters; building evaluation; and built environment education. He supervises and teaches architectural design, urban design, and housing-related courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has contributed to knowledge in housing, urban design, sustainability, and built environment education through journal publications and papers delivered at various International and local conferences. Married with three children, Dr. Ilesanmi is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Association of architectural Educators in Nigeria (AARCHES), and is registered with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
